Several issues are on the November ballot that could effect the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Panelists will discuss:

  • State Initiative 1631 that enacts a carbon emissions fee of
    $15 per metric ton of carbon beginning on January 1, 2020
    in order to fund various environmental programs and
  • The $15 million Bainbridge Island SAFE Mobility Levy that
    would fund non-motorized transportation projects.

Speakers: Demi Allen, member of the city’s Multi-modal Transportation Advisory Committee, MTAC representative to the Infrastructure Ballot Measure Task Force, and Squeaky Wheels board member.
